Take a Gondola Ride around the Coronado Cays

I have yet to do this one, but so many people rave about this experience. You can take a gondola ride through the canals of the Coronado Cays. Depending on your package, you can even get a musician to accompany your ride.

This would be the perfect thing to do if you are planning on having a romantic weekend getaway in San Diego.

Walk around a Farmer’s Market

There are so many farmer’s markets throughout the many neighborhoods and towns that make up San Diego. Explore fresh food, spices and other goods at one of the many farmer’s markets.

Often times wineries will have live music or food trucks during more busy times like the weekend. It’s always a good idea to check if a winery is open before going (many close for weddings and other events) and if they will have food available if you’re planning on eating. Some even allow you to bring or own food.

You could always pick up a couple items at the farmer’s market, bring it to a winery that allows outside food, get a glass of wine and make a date night out of it.

It also has beautiful gardens, a fountain and a large organ pavilion. Come here for a picnic one day and then spend the afternoon learning something new.

Catch a baseball game at Petco Park

If you are a Padres fan or a baseball fan and here during the season, you can catch a game at Petco Park. There are a lot of options for tickets and you’ll be close to a ton of restaurants and bars.
